Taking a Mulligan

Patty Hankins of Fine Art Floral Photography (http://beautifulflowerpictures.com) submitted this photo of Mulligan. He is new-ish part of the growing cat family at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA.

She said, "I ran into a member of the Longwood Gardens Rodent Control Team yesterday – in the conservatory where the cats aren’t supposed to be."

You may recall we featured Belin, another Longwood Gardens feline, awhile back on this blog -- here is a link.

Saint Getrude's Day

Here is an encore post:

Thank you to the Crazy Cat Ladies Community on Facebook for letting my know about Saint Gertrude of Nivelles, who is the patron saint of Cats AND Gardening. No lie! I'm Catholic, adore boths cats and gardening, and had never heard of her. Today, the 17th of March, is her Saint's Day, which she shares with St. Patrick. "Fine weather on her feast day meant it was time to begin spring planting." This may also explain why St. Patrick's Day is the traditional day for early spring crop sowing.

Tub Thumpers

Stacy Walters of Fit to Garden sent this photo in of  her kitties "helping" her with a seed starting video. Stacy said, "Vegas is in the tub and Boots is laying on the desk. They are 1.5 year old ragdolls. Vegas is a lynx sealpoint mink ragdoll and Boots is a lynx seal mitted traditional ragdoll." See Stacy's finished indoor seed starting video here.

Design-Loving Feline

"When the day of chasing birds and squirrels is done, it's time to find a sunny spot to rest — preferably on an outdoor sectional," wrote Lily Gahagan, Market Editor of www.Houzz.com in this post.
