A Cat in Monet's Garden at Giverny

Flickr user
snap713 shared this photo. She said it is from a collection of postcards published by Pomegranate. The back of the card reads:

"Pink cosmos and golden sunflowers tower above Fifi, the calico cat who resides in Monet's garden, as she strolls down a gravel path in the silver mist of dawn. Photograph by Elizabeth Murray c 1990."

Princess Grace Kitty

Bren Haas of BGgarden.com and GardenChat fame submitted her Princess Grace Kitty. She wrote, "This sweet little rescue kitty lives in the BGgarden in Ohio. We brought her pregnant mama cat home from a not-so-happy home with fear she would be killed. The sweet little fluffy kitty gave birth to 5 kittens and ran away shortly after.  Grace was one of the kittens my family decided to keep. Long-haired cats are not usually the choice for an outdoor cat, but this kitty grooms herself constantly while sitting in the rose garden. She is for sure the Princess in our garden and I do believe she knows it! Stop by and see all the catnip growing in our Ohio garden.  We have six outdoor cats who are loving their spoiled life in the garden."

Pass the Peas

This cute cat is named Maceo (may-see-oh) and his owner posted about this garden "helper" recently on Cute Overload.

Note the plant label on the bottom photo is "Catnip." Not all cats have a reaction to it, but Maceo obviously does!

BTW If you don't get the headline connection, Maceo Parker is a famous jazz and funk musician. One of his best known songs is "Pass the Peas." Watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJmIN8RNBUg and don't hesitate to see Maceo Parker live if you ever get the chance!
