Cape Town Cat

Fellow garden writer Cheval Force Opp sent these photos of a cat who followed along with her tour group recently at the  Stellenburg Garden in Cape Town, South Africa.

House and Garden Tour Time

It is house and garden tour time in the Mid-Atlantic USA. Here are a few garden cat and cat garden art sightings from tours so far this year. Also, sharing a few from previous years' tours. I highly recommend going to as many garden tours in your own region as you can to learn about what grows best in your are!

Georgetown Cats

Back in May, I attended the Georgetown Garden Tour and kept camera in hand throughout in hopes of capturing some garden felines on film. While no living kitties crossed my path, I saw these fun cat representations along the way.

and then there was this kitty sleeping in a basement window well

- won't you come out to play with me I called - to no avail...

Porch Decor

Whenever I go on a garden tour, I keep an eye out for a resident garden cat. Recently, in Westminster, Maryland, I spotted this charming porch decoration at a home across the street from one of the tour houses. Even though this kitty's garden was not on the tour. I think the front garden is charming and the cat adds just the right spot of interest.
